conversation between art and science

I am a scientific illustrator who seeks to accurately reflect the natural forms that we both study and look to for meaning. Watercolor, gouache, graphite, and acrylic are the mediums I am most familiar with. My roots are in portraiture, ornithological art was my launching pad and home, and now I am branching out into larger mural-type works depicting landscapes and the complex webs of biological life and human endeavors they support.
